Anthony Rainone is a civil litigator whose New Jersey and New York practice focuses on employment law, construction law, commercial law, land use and state and federal Civil Rights Law. Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in New York and he received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. At Seton Hall University he was a member of the Seton Hall Law Review, a member of the Seton Hall Interscholastic Moot Court Team, and a member of the Seton Hall Moot Court Board. As a member of the Moot Court Team, he won several best oralist awards and was a semi-finalist in the Marshall Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. He also received a pro bono service award at Seton Hall for his work as a volunteer tax preparer for the Internal Revenue Service.
Anthony primarily represents employers in employment matters. He also has represented several municipalities, municipal officials and police officers in the defense of both employment discrimination and civil rights claims. He represents project owners, general contractors and subcontractors in both public and private projects, and in both construction defect and payment claims. He has published articles on the application of New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act to residential home improvement contractors and enforcement of money judgments. Anthony's representation spans from pre-litigation advice to civil litigation and arbitration through appellate representation.
Anthony is admitted in the states courts of New Jersey and New York and in the District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
