Barry Cocoziello is the co-managing director of Podvey Meanor and an experienced civil and criminal litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience. Barry received his undergraduate degree from Washington College, his law degree from Rutgers-Newark, and served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert Muir, Superior Court of New Jersey. Barry is admitted to the Bar in the State and Federal Courts in New Jersey and Florida and the Federal District Courts in New York. He has also been admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.

Barry has been designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. From 2004 through the present, he has been designated as a “Super Lawyer” in the area of business litigation in the New Jersey Monthly and New York Monthly magazines. Barry is also one of less than a hundred lawyers in New Jersey designated in Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers For Business as a “Leading Individual” in the area of general commercial litigation.

Barry has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School – Newark teaching Pretrial Civil Practice and served as a Master in the Vanderbilt Inns of Court. He has also, through his participation in the American Bar Association, served as a panelist and speaker at the Litigation Section forums.

Barry has a wide range of experience in trial practice, including complex commercial litigation, fraud and RICO law, construction litigation, employment litigation and disciplinary proceedings before professional boards.
