Colin Scott is a transactional attorney experienced in the areas of corporate and business transactions, business organizations and commercial real estate transactions. Colin received his Bachelor's degree from Wheaton College in 1992, his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 1996, and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1996.
Colin's commercial real estate expertise includes the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of office, retail and industrial properties. His experience in corporate and business transactions includes mergers and acquisitions, asset purchase agreements, entity formation and restructuring, asset-based financing and venture capital financing. Colin has lectured on a number of business and real estate issues, including a recent seminar entitled "Negotiating Complex Real Estate Transactions" in which he discussed certain strategies for addressing borrower's issues in commercial real estate financing. Colin is a member and frequent contributor to a number of professional and continuing education organizations, in which he explores cutting-edge issues in the fields of business and commercial real estate transactions, including the Inn of Transactional Counsel, of which he is a Fellow and Solicitor; the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties; and the Business Entities Committee of the Business Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is also a Member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a Member of the Essex County Bar Association.
