Marianne Tolomeo attended Williams College and Cornell Law School, where she received the Stanley Gould Prize. She was admitted to the state and federal bars of New Jersey in 1987, to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1991 and for the Seventh Circuit in 1993. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association (Appellate Practice Committee), and was a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court District Five Ethics Committee from 1994-1996.

Marianne's practice areas include employment, civil rights and commercial litigation, as well as appellate practice. In addition, Marianne advises clients on employment matters including terminations, policy manuals, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants and compliance with a broad range of employment statutes, including the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She has presented seminars on employment handbooks for the Rutgers Center for Management Development, and Civil Trial Preparation for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
